A username is the whole sign-in
Signing up takes an email for a six digit code, then a username and a password. Every sign-in after that is the username alone: no phone number, and your email is not shown anywhere in the app.
Your prayer calculation, yours
The method, the school, the high-latitude rule and the reminders live in your settings, set once and applied everywhere, with the working shown before you choose.
Who can reach you is your decision
Messages between brothers and sisters are off unless you turn them on, blocks apply across the whole app, and the choice is yours to change at any time.
Anonymous when you need it
Posting anonymously inside a circle is a control on your account, not a favour from the feed. It hides the name and keeps the moderation.
In English and Arabic
The app reads in English and Arabic, and what people write to each other translates on request from 195 languages.
Ask for the minimum
One email for one code, a username after that, and no phone number at any point. Your location is used on the device to calculate with and stays there. What the app does not collect, nobody has to trust it with.
Worth knowing
- Arriving through Google still ends at a username: the account is the username, however you signed up.
Questions people ask
What do I sign in with?
The username and password you chose. The email is for the six digit code when the account is created; the app does not ask for it again.
Do you need my phone number?
No. Nothing in the app asks for one.
Can other people see my email?
No. Your profile shows the name and username you chose, and the marks a person at Ya Habibi has verified. The email is not shown anywhere in the app.
