Ya habibi, oh my dear
It is the phrase Muslims reach for when someone matters to them. Said between brothers and sisters, to children, to elders, in every country the Ummah lives in. We named the app after it because that is the feeling Muslim life deserves from its software: warmth first, and everything working underneath it.
One app, because it is one life
The prayer you rise for, the surah you are learning, the question you would only ask anonymously, the place you can actually eat: none of these are separate products, and nobody should need five apps to live one day well. So the prayer times, the Quran, the study library, the community and the halal food finder share one home, one design and one standard of honesty.
What we hold ourselves to
Four rules, and no exceptions to them
Show the working
Every prayer time opens the calculation behind it: the method, the angle, the school, your coordinates. If we cannot show how we know a thing, we do not assert it.
Say what is missing
The study library lists the subjects it does not yet cover to the standard the rest of it is held to, rather than letting silence imply completeness.
Never machine translate scripture
The app translates its own interface, and on request what people write to each other. The Quran is shown in Arabic until a licensed published translation exists for your language.
A person checks
The verification tick means somebody read the documents and telephoned the institution that issued them. It is not automatic, and it cannot be bought.
